About eOsphere

eOsphere was established in 2001 and is strongly focused on solving real remote sensing problems for a range of customers and end users. Key application areas include the provision of affordable ground receiving stations for environmental and hazard monitoring and the use of satellite borne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) techniques for sea-ice monitoring. 


Ground stations

eOsphere satellite receiving ground stations are designed and built in the UK and installed all around the world. The eOsphere turnkey solution for EOS Terra, Aqua MODIS, NPP & JPSS data reception is an affordable ground station with many environmental and hazard monitoring applications: Fire hot-spot detection, Agriculture support, Smoke and volcanic ash, Ocean sea surface temperature, Sediment and chlorophyll, Drought monitoring, Snow, Land cover & biomass.

Ice Monitoring

eOsphere has specialised in sea ice monitoring since it was established in 2001 and has worked with a wide range of customers including fishermen operating in ice infested waters. eOsphere are active members of the Polar View network which is recognised by policy makers and user communities as the world's leading organisation for the operational, satellite-based monitoring of polar environments and the cryosphere.
